"Great Value, Great Stay" Mar 13, 2010 | Trip type: Couples
My fiance and I stayed her on a short weekend trip to Edmonton to visit friends and do a bit of shopping. We picked the Day Inn because of the reviews and the free parking downtown plus the price was much better than most hotels in the downtown area. The Days Inn did not disappoint us
"Extra expense for parking!!" Alberta Oct 1, 2009 | Trip type: Couples
We weren't told about the height resrictions in their underground parking when we made the reservation by phone. So when we checked in and were told our truck wouldn't fit in their parkade, we were told we had to park across the street at the "paid parking lot". It ran out at 6am, you couldn't pay for more hours
"TERRIBLE CHOICE FOR OUR 22nd. WEDDING ANIVERSARY" Fort McMurray, Alberta Aug 18, 2009 | Trip type: Couples
My family lives in Mississauga while I work here in Fort McMurray. Me and my wife decided to celebrate our 22nd. anniversary in Edmonton, so she flew from Toronto and I drove down from Fort Mac. It was our mis-fortune, we selected Days-Inn downtown for our stay.
Management response from Claudia Oliver, Front Desk Manager
Dear Guest, We are truly sorry for the unfortunate incident that occurred during your stay. The property does have security surveillance at the hotel and to help prevent a similar situation in the future we will be increasing our security patrols of the parking area. Our hotel policy is to report any car damage to the police
"Econo-choice for short stay" Nunavut Jun 20, 2009 | Trip type: Family
I traveled with my son who was five years old at the time and the rooms were just big enough for the two of us. We spent two nights at the Days Inn downtown waiting for my wife and two other children to arrive, then we moved to a more luxurious hotel.
Management response from Claudia Oliver, Front Desk Manager
Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. All observations are welcomed in order to improve and enhance our guests' experience. We look forward to serving you in the future.
"Decent, clean, limited hotel" Manitoba Apr 8, 2009 | Trip type: Family
We spent one night here for a shopping trip with my wife and her parents. Overall it served its purpose. The hotel is old and small, however recently renovated and looking pretty decent despite its contracted feel. The room was of average size, nice bathroom and good shower. The free wireless internet is nice
Management response from Claudia Oliver, Front Desk Manager
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to comment on our property. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and we will utilize it to improve and make our guets' experience the best it can be.
"Not Perfect, but great room quality for the money" Calgary, AB Mar 14, 2009 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel
This a good hotel for the money. I think I paid about $99 per night. It is an old hotel that has been renovated. It is clear from the parkade that the building is really old. That said, the room looks similar to a brand new hotel and I felt very comfortable.
"Good for what you pay" Calgary Feb 2, 2009 | Trip type: Business
A friend and I were in town for a conference. This hotel had the best discounted rates for conference attendees, so we picked a room with two beds for $108/night. They offer free parking, but it is the top levels of the parkade that was full of snow & ice.
"Satisfied!" Singapore Jan 7, 2009 | Trip type: Family
Claudia from the front desk greeted us with a great smile and provided general informations of the service in and around Days Inn. We stayed in 3 different rooms during our 2 weeks. Room 586 The room had 2 queen-size beds. A coffee maker, TV, an ironing board without iron. The wardrobe did not have any door
"very good value" toronro Oct 25, 2008 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel
This is an average hotel with above average service. The location is perfect, since I chose the Days inn for the value I did not expect granite countertops, free wireless Internet on each floor, simple but clean gym and friendly staff. Since this is a great bargain hotel for Edmonton it would be great for a family, younger couples
"Rught in downtown Edmonton" England Oct 2, 2008 | Trip type: Friends getaway
The hotel was exactly what we wanted.but we were on the 5th floor and the lift broke down twice in six days we were at the bottom waitimg to go up!!!! You must phone the hotel to book if you are doing the booking directly as they do not seem to manage e-mail booking.
"Renovations Complete, Great Stay" Los Angeles, CA Sep 5, 2008 | Trip type: Business
I had read the reviews about the terrible condition of the hotel during renovations, but decided to stay here because of the affordable rate, and I am so happy I did. This property is so easy to get to from the Edmonton Airport via the "Sky Shuttle" and one can get to anywhere in Edmonton via the LRT
"A Decent Hotel" Calgary Jul 26, 2008 | Trip type: Business
I stayed in this hotel for one night while in Edmonton for business purposes. While I was a bit worried about the hotel prior to check-in, the hotel was better than expected. The lobby was clean and new, and the staff was very courteous and helpful.
"Not so great" sask Jun 12, 2008 | Trip type: Solo travel
I stayed one night here and moved on. The room I had was "renovated". The bathroom sink drained slowly. There was a 2-3" gap between the exterior door and the carpet. The lights made a popping sound when turned on and the bathroom lighting was very dim. I could not regulate the water temperature in the shower and it fluctuated
"Maybe it's better now" Calgary May 7, 2008 | Trip type: Business, Family
Like a previous poster, had heard the place was under renovations but assumed I wouldn't be placed in a construction zone! Was put on a floor being renovated. Wires hung from the ceiling. Many hallway lights were not working and many rooms had doors open, the dark room inside in disrepair. It was eerie! Especially arriving at 11 at night
"Excellent for solo female traveller" North Vancouver Apr 27, 2008 | Trip type: Solo travel
Hotel staff are friendly and knowledgeable, swift room service (tv remote needed to be re-coded). Room was fresh, clean and comfortable. Nice part of town; would stay here again.
"Nicely renovated" Calgary Jan 19, 2008 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel
I recently stayed at the the newly renovated Days Inn dowtown, and wow, what a change, lobby looks great and the rooms, hallways have been completely renovated. The fitness centre was a added bonus and the staff were very friendly. Defintely one of the last great bargains downtown being close to everything. I also used the conference centre for our meeting
"DIY Renos Just OK" Vancouver, Canada Oct 7, 2007
I left my hotel booking for a recent business trip late, so I could only find space in downtown Edmonton at this Days Inn. I had read that it was recently renovated and no longer a dump. This turned out to be true. The renovations are not fully complete yet, but the place does look reasonably bright and fresh.
"Excellent Value" Scunthorpe, United Kingdom Oct 2, 2007
To be honest I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel but I was pleasantly suprised. My room had obviously just been renovated - they'd done a nice job. The beds were comfy, there is free wireless internet in the rooms and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The restaurant attached to the hotel was a bonus.
"Days Inn, Edmonton" CANADA Sep 14, 2007
We were not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. The hotel has been completely renovated and looks fantastic. Its hard to recognize it as the same property. We enjoyed our stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it. The location is central and getting about is easy. Public transit is half a block away.
"A pleasant surprise!" West Wales Aug 27, 2007 | Trip type: Couples
The initial impression wasn't good - the tiles in the lobby were being replaced and there was a strong smell of adhesive/laquer which was quite potent. The elevator was shabby, but once we got to our room things changed! The room was huge with a king size bed, plenty of space to put your luggage and a tidy bathroom.
"poor value - should close during renovations" Donvale Jul 5, 2007 | Trip type: Solo trave
I knew it was being renovated but did not expect holes in walls and wiring hanging out in hall. Furniture in room was very dilapidated. Drawers would not close, cupboard hinges broken, coffee maker jug didn't fit. Reception area had dangerous bench. At $100/night it was overpriced. Serves me right for being too miserable to pay a bit more
"Incredible" Calgary Jun 13, 2007 | Trip type: Friends getaway
When I read that a hotel is under renovation I assume, like any reasonable person would, that the hotel would rotate the rooms so that anyone staying in their hotel in the room would get the best experience possible. I rented a non-smoking room with two beds. I was greeted by a room that had a hole in the wall
"Pleasant Stay" Calgary May 24, 2007
We were warned that the hotel was under renovations and chose to go there anyway. The staff was wonderful; our room was clean and the stay pleasant in spite of the obvious reno's in the hallways and lobby. We went for a long stroll in the evening to the river and saw much of downtown Edmonton.
"Finally Renovations" British Columbia Apr 23, 2007
This wonderfully located but very run down hotel is finally getting a complete make over. The warm and friendly staff that has had to put up with years of abuse for the shoddy quality of the rooms is visibly excited. Lets hope the hotel lives up to its potential.
"Awful, scary, shaddy - slept with one eye open" Regina Apr 9, 2007 | Trip type: Couples
This was the worst accomodations ever. We got it for $69 per night but it would have been worth it to spend a little extra money to stay somewhere else. Its not in a nice area of downtown and there were no amenities in the hotel or close by, not even a vending machine. There was lots of noise
Management response from mdugre, Days Inns - Canada, Corporate, Toronto, Ontario
I would like to thank the guests for their feedback, without candid responses from our guests, we would not be able to progress further and evaluate ways to improve the guest experience at any of our properties. These issues have been discussed with the property. We are truly sorry for the experience you had while staying at this hotel.
"Freundlichkeit des Hotels" An Expedia Traveler Jan 18, 2010
bezüglich Sauberkeit und freundlichkeit kann man das Hotel kaum überbieten, es gab nur zwei negative Dinge und das ist allerdings
"Super Lage!" An Expedia Traveler Sep 30, 2009

Ottima e centrale la posizione, non fornisce prima colazione e la stanza pper ill fittnes èveramente troppo piccola.

"Prima logeeradres" An Expedia Traveler Mar 5, 2009
